Ingredients
1 box (16 oz) Bowl & Basket ziti pasta
1 jar Bowl & Basket Specialty Marinara Sauce
15 oz Bowl & Basket ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup grated Bowl & Basket Specialty Parmesan cheese
1 package (2 cups) Bowl & Basket shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and lightly spray a 9 x 13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente (1-2 minutes less than specified time on box).
- Drain and set aside. While water is boiling, combine ricotta, egg, salt, and ¼ cup of the parmesan cheese and mix well.
- When pasta is cooked, toss with marinara sauce until well coated.
- Pour half of the pasta mixture into the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.
- Evenly drop dollops of the ricotta cheese mixture over the top of the pasta and gently smooth out to form an even layer.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, then top with remaining pasta.
- Cover the top of the pasta with the rest of the parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown in places.
- Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
